Easter Bunny Cake

Make an Easter Bunny Cake this year for your Easter Celebration!

What you need:
- Your favorite boxed cake mix and the ingredients requested - I prefer Devil's Food Cake.
- 2 9inch round cake pans
- 2 containers of vanilla icing
- 1 bag of Easter colored peanut M&Ms
- 1 bag of Coconut flakes

How to make your Bunny Cake:
- Mix and bake your 2 round cakes as instructed.
- Let them cool completely on a cooling rack.
- Place cakes into refrigerator for at least 1 hour- this makes it easier / cleaner to cut the cake.
- Leave one the cakes round, making the face, and cut the other as shown below. The two smaller pieces make the bunny ears and the center becomes the bow tie.

- Place your pieces out on a serving surface, making your bunny - I prefer to use a cookie sheet.
- Ice the cakes with vanilla icing.
- Cover with coconut flakes - This helps hides imperfections.
- Finish with Easter colored M&Ms to make the eyes, ears, bow tie, etc.

Enjoy!

March Manicures

Need to catch up on some gossip or just hang out with your girlfriends?
Plan a Manicure Party!

How it works:  Reach out to a local nail salon, and ask them if you can throw a manicure party.  As long as each person pays for their own service, most places will not require you to pay for the space.  However, it is courteous for you to let them know in advance that you will have a large reservation.  Ask each woman to bring a new bottle of her favorite nail polish and collect all of them into a bag as everyone arrives.  After the manicures, have each woman pick one bottle out without looking for a surprise new color to take home! Finally, I usually have everyone back to my house (walking distance from the salon) for drinks and desserts.

Tips:
- Reach out to the salon first, then send your friends an invite.
- Ask your friends to RSVP so you have an accurate number of guests to give to the salon a few days before.
- To prevent any surprises, include manicure prices in your invitation.
- Ask the salon if you can bring food and drinks - my favorite nail salon allows champagne!
- Keep the party small, inviting only 8-10 women.
- I think it is best to plan these parties on a week day about an hour and half before the salon closes. This is usually when nail salons are empty and winding down for the day.

Have fun!
